I had a fantastic stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. The modern aesthetics and stunning views from my suite were a highlight, though I did find the lighting in some areas a bit too bright. The staff truly made the experience special, always accommodating and friendly. However, the bathroom door was a quirky sliding style that didn't lock well, which was a downside for privacy. Overall, I can't wait to return!

My suite on the 12th floor was spacious and well-equipped, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that offered amazing views. The bed was comfortable, though the lighting for reading was lacking in some areas.

The staff were really good; everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to ensure my stay was pleasant. I felt well taken care of from start to finish.
Location

The hotel's location was ideal for events at BC Place, and I enjoyed the nearby restaurants and attractions. However, I was surprised by the noise levels considering the proximity to the stadium.

Dining at Honey Salt was enjoyable, and the brunch was a highlight, especially the chicken waffles. While the atmosphere was nice, I felt some areas could use a little updating in terms of cleanliness.
Facilities

I appreciated the range of facilities available, from room service to daily complimentary water. However, I found the options in the executive lounge a bit limited.

My stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver had its ups and downs. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely contemporary style, and I enjoyed the luxurious Molton Brown products in the bathroom. However, the view was a letdown as it was blocked by a building. The service was really good, notably when staff made arrangements to bring me the shampoos I loved! Overall, while there were some shortcomings, I appreciated the great service and location. 🌟

The room was clean and spacious, but the view was disappointing as it was obstructed by a nearby building. The contemporary style and comfort of the bed met my expectations.

The hotel is perfectly located for exploring downtown Vancouver and is close to great dining options. I found it ideal for activities around the stadium and arena.
Dining

Dining options were somewhat limited due to closures, but the room service was excellent, providing an in-room breakfast that I enjoyed.

The fitness room was nice and spacious, and the ice service was impressively safe and clean. However, the hotel lacks a pool.

My stay at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver had its ups and downs. The location was great for attending events at BC Place, and the gym was impressive. However, my experience was marred by a lack of suite upgrades despite availability and some oddities in the room setup. Additionally, the breakfast service was quite limited for elite members. Overall, I left feeling underwhelmed. 😕

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and clean, but the furniture layout was odd and the bedroom had poor ventilation, which made sleeping difficult.
Service
6.0
While the staff were friendly and responded to my requests, my attempts to resolve room issues were met with less satisfactory answers.
Location
7.0
The location was convenient for accessing BC Place and exploring downtown, but I was surprised at how not soundproofed the hotel felt considering its proximity to events.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast options for elite members were very limited, and the in-room dining experience felt restrictive compared to the restaurant offerings.
Facilities

The gym was well-equipped, but I wished there was a swimming pool to enjoy as well. Overall, the hotel had good facilities.

5.4/10

My stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver had its ups and downs. While the location is fantastic with easy access to nearby restaurants and attractions, I found some aspects of my stay quite underwhelming. The service was wonderful, and I loved the lounge's offerings; however, the noise levels and lack of a proper seating area in the lobby left me a bit frustrated. The room was comfortable, but it felt overpriced for what I received.

Rooms

The One Bedroom King Suite was neat and spacious, but it lacked the promised sea view and felt ordinary given the price. The large bathroom and great shower were a plus, though.
Service
9.0
The staff was really pleasant and attentive, reaching out after my stay to apologize for the issues I encountered. They truly went out of their way to help with any requests.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located near Yaletown and Chinatown, making it easy to explore the area. It's a perfect spot for those wanting to walk to restaurants and attractions, especially with the added bonus of the casino nearby.
Dining
6.0
The lounge had decent offerings, but there weren't many comfortable spots to enjoy meals elsewhere in the hotel. Breakfast was on the go, which didn’t meet my expectations for a JW brand.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel provided various facilities, but I felt the overall amenity offerings were bare minimum for the price charged. It would’ve been nice to have a more relaxing lounge area.

I had a amazing stay at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. The service was excellent, especially since we were celebrating our anniversary, which the hotel acknowledged with a sweet surprise in our room. The room was spacious and clean, featuring contemporary design with Molton Brown toiletries that I adored. However, I was a bit disappointed that the pool wasn't available during my visit, and I had hoped for more dining options since not all restaurants were open.

Rooms

My room had a beautiful water view and contemporary style. The bathroom was spacious, featuring a separate toilet area which I appreciated. I loved the complimentary Molton Brown products, but it would have been nice to have some extra niceties like real cups instead of paper ones.
Service
10.0
Service throughout my stay was exemplary. From the warm welcome at the valet to the staff bringing us chocolates for our anniversary, everyone was friendly and accommodating. They even helped me acquire shampoo from the spa when it was sold out, showcasing their commitment to guest satisfaction.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like Yaletown and Chinatown. Even without a pool, the fitness room offered great views and natural light, and it was convenient to have a casino and restaurants within walking distance.
Dining
8.0
Dining options were somewhat limited during my stay, as not all restaurants were open, and we had to order room service for some meals. However, the food I had at The Victor for our anniversary dinner was fantastic. I just wish there were more options available for in-house dining.
